Auto-Pairing Trailer Vision System for a U.S. Fleet Technology Company

Project Background

In 2025, a leading U.S. fleet technology company approached ZIYANGXING with a special requirement for a trailer rear-view monitoring system.

In daily fleet operations, a tractor unit may connect to different trailers at any time. The monitor stays inside the tractor cab, while the rear-view camera is installed at the back of the trailer.

Each time the tractor changes trailers, the new rear camera must connect quickly to the monitor. Conventional wired systems require drivers to reconnect an additional video cable, while standard wireless systems may require manual pairing.

The customer therefore needed a faster and more convenient solution.

ZIYANGXING Solution

ZIYANGXING developed a customized automatic-pairing wireless TX/RX system.

The TX transmitter is installed on the trailer and connected to the rear-view camera. The RX receiver is installed in the tractor and connected to the cab monitor.

When the tractor connects to a compatible trailer and the system is powered on, the TX and RX establish the wireless video connection automatically. The driver can view the rear-camera image without repeatedly entering the monitor menu for manual pairing.

The solution supports 2.4 GHz wireless transmission, AHD/CVI/TVI cameras, 1080p and 720p video, and DC 9–50 V wide-voltage input.

Flexible Installation Options

For tractors that already have a monitor, the RX receiver can be integrated with the existing display. An optional power-line filter can be added to reduce electrical interference and maintain stable image quality.

For vehicles without an existing monitor or camera, ZIYANGXING can provide a complete solution consisting of:

A 7-inch or 10.1-inch vehicle monitor;

An RX receiver for the tractor;

A TX transmitter for the trailer;

A compatible rear-view camera.
